TONIGHT! 🎾🌳 You can be a part of designing our local waterfront parks!

The Perch Creek Parks Preserve consists of 3 park zones throughout the southern Peninsula district: McNally Park, Perch Creek Nature Preserve, and Alba Beach. Both existing and future projects are set to undergo engineering and design to plan for improved features and infrastructure. Nature-Based Recreation is an important aspect of our community as waterfront access is part of our Peninsula culture. Think about what elements you wish to see in your local park and share your input with the city of Mobile.

The Legacy Gala 2025 was such an incredible success!! 🥂 The Peninsula of Mobile is honored to have shared such a wonderful evening with our amazing friends, supporters, and partners. We are so appreciative to each and every one of you who joined us. This was more than a gala of celebration - this is a step towards the future of Mobile Bay, the restoration and preservation of our waters for the good of our generations to come.

The Peninsula is proud to work with Mobile Bay National Estuary Program to bring to life the “Pocket Beach Pilot Program” - implementing the city of Mobile’s very first shoreline restoration project, set along the private property sector of the Western Shore! As this project is made possible through the grants and research achievements of MBNEP, The Peninsula’s community outreach and fundraising efforts fight to close the cost-share gap and push forward the plan that is vital to bringing back a healthy and thriving Mobile Bay.

Saturday evening at the National Maritime Museum of the Gulf, The Legacy Gala honored the S.S. United States as she rests in our Port of Mobile before she sets out on her final voyage to become the world’s largest artificial reef. This vision of American innovation shows us the great feats that are possible when we join forces together and take pride in our home and waterfront.

Such an incredible evening is in store for our wonderful supporters, all to benefit the protection and preservation of the Mobile Bay waterfront that we call home. 🌊

We want to take a moment to thank the partners who are helping us make this event happen!

National Maritime Museum of the Gulf we are so appreciative of your collaboration with us for a beautiful riverside banquet.

Andy DePaola and his team will be passing out fresh shucked oysters grown right here in Mobile Bay from his very own Shellevator invention! 🦪

Floral decor for the evening has been donated by Bay Flowers, a local, family owned, full-service florist 🌺

A seated, plated gourmet dinner will be provided by Georgia Rousso's Catering. Join us at 6:30 pm for this formal and elegant service!

Following The Legacy Gala presentations, live music will be preformed by local musicians - Land in Villegas - to dance the night away with good drinks and good company! 🎶
